The minor 300 RPM increase on stall speed is also helpful in keeping transmission oil temperature lower, when compared to normal high stall converters. The Traveler is stronger than a stock converter as well, through the use of new pump drive tubes, needle bearings where equipped on the original model, and new thrust washers. These units are manufactured to B&M’s specifications for long, trouble-free operation.
