While retaining the brand's hallmark balance between a civilized tone and aggressive sound under acceleration, the M550i exhaust introduces a bold new design for the exhaust tips, which are now massive 4" diameter double-walled tips. These clamp-on tips are a first for Dinan, offering easy replacement or customization options without welding.
Like other Dinan exhausts, the M550i system features drone abatement technologies to minimize cabin noise at low RPM, ensuring a quiet and comfortable interior even during high-performance driving. The computer-controlled exhaust valves retained from the stock system modulate the sound, limiting noise during low-speed driving but opening fully under load to allow free exhaust flow and deliver a deep, throaty V8 tone. The result is a refined yet sporty note that accentuates the M550i’s performance.
Constructed from 100% 304 stainless steel, this exhaust system offers durability and resistance to corrosion, ensuring long-lasting performance. The system also provides a straightforward installation with a bolt-on design, utilizing the factory hangers and including all necessary mounting hardware.
