This increases durability and reduced the chance of engine failure. Two-route oil supply from two journals ensures enough oil is supplied to the crank. Moreover, the distinct "X" shape oil passage enables oil to be supplied using the centrifugal force of a crankshaft. This increases reliability of the oil supply at higher RPMs.
