In Honda cars, water temperature, engine power, and fuel efficiency are closely related.
When the water temperature rises, the ECU corrects the fuel and ignition MAP such as fuel increase and ignition timing retardation to prevent further overheating. As a result, many harmful effects such as deterioration of fuel efficiency and power down will occur.
This product sets the valve opening temperature (the temperature at which the main valve (water gate) "starts to open") lower than that of a normal thermostat, and circulates the cooling water to the radiator earlier, making the water temperature ideal at all times. It is possible to set the temperature around 75 ° C to 85 ° C.
As a result, it is possible to suppress and prevent power down, heat sagging, and knocking, and bring out the original engine power and good fuel economy.
For Insight, tuning is indispensable to prevent deterioration of fuel efficiency in the summer.
Even with general specifications (normal radiator + low temp thermostat + low temp thermo switch + high performance coolant), a great effect can be obtained.
