SOUL’s mandrel bent 2.5″ rear system offers a refined increase in shift barks, burble, and engine tone while minimizing drone with high flow race resonators.

DEVELOPMENT: The Macan 2.0T is quite refined with generous sound deadening and heavy muffling in the exhaust. Evaluation of the factory midpipes reveals a very high flowing and relatively smooth flowing design. Porsche incorporated a factory break point and the rear section is what holds the exhaust back. The SOUL Resonated Muffler Bypass Exhaust forgoes the factory mufflers for a clamp on, 2.5″ straight pipe design with the addition of race resonators to minimize drone. The straight through design of our race resonators encourages maximum power and sound under heavy throttle while cutting down on harsh frequencies that can make their way into the cabin and cause droning on partial throttle and during cruising conditions. This is the ideal solution to pair with an aftermarket downpipe to prevent drone and raspiness. The Y pipe setup exiting out through quad tips encourages equal exhaust distribution and tip adjustability to allow for either a flush or staggered appearance in the bumper.

SOUND: Expect a refined increase in sound with a bark after each shift and mild burbling on deceleration. Full throttle pulls reveal more turbo sound and engine sound while taking your foot off the pedal calms things down. Comfort mode can yield some slight droning when the car kicks up into higher gears for cruising which can be remedied by running in Sport mode or shifting down a gear.

CONSTRUCTION: Each set of muffler bypass pipes is built in-house out of mandrel bent, thick wall .065″” T304L stainless steel. Back purged TIG welding (with ARCAL™ Prime argon gas) ensures proper weld penetration and longevity. Straight through race resonators with a full metal packing design for maximum durability. We fabricate using thick gauge aluminum fixtures which act as a great heat sink during the welding process and prevent warping not only of our products, but the fixtures themselves to ensure perfect fitment.

BOLT ON AND GO: Each system is quality checked then foam packed to arrive in perfect condition. Installation requires cutting the original exhaust at a factory break point (marked with a dimple) which allows for reinstallation of the factory system if necessary. Thorough installation instructions are included in the box for a straightforward install that can be performed by most DIY enthusiasts. Valve simulators are included to prevent a check engine light.
