When it comes to turbocharged cars, there is one massive mistake many enthusiasts make when upgrading their engine: purchasing too large of a turbocharger. Yes, an extra large turbocharger will leave you room to grow if you ever decide you need more power, but it introduces a host of other problems when compared to a stock sized turbo. The biggest problem is throttle response. The larger a turbocharger is, the higher its threshold is; this means its optimum RPM range ends up significantly higher in the RPM range. Essentially, a large turbocharger will not spool up very fast and won't make low-end power very much. All of these things kill drivability, making your car awful on the street.

But now, this turbo kit is compatible with the stock exhaust manifold, and it is a 100% true bolt-on application that can potentially deliver more than 650ps (MX8260). Without losing mid range speed transient characteristics, the boost will reach the 4500rpm range with ease. Even from there, it can suddenly spool up to higher rpm range without losing boost.
